Professor John Habib is currently visiting professor and diplomat-in-residence at James Madison College, Michigan State University, East Lansing.

He is also ad hoc teaching professor at Mohamed V University, Rabat, and coordinator of the Center for American Studies there.

He held the Fulbright US Distinguished Lecturership from September through December 2004 at that University.

On 03 November 2005 he will address the Frank Church Institute
in Boise, Idaho on "Global Conflicts: The Clash of Cultures".

After leaving the American diplomatic service in 1982, he directed companies in Geneva, Monte Carlo, and Paris as an independent management-security consultant. In 1989, he joined the faculty of the University of Maryland University College, European Division, Heidelberg, Germany as instructor in history and government, and retired with the rank of Collegiate Professor in 2004.

He now teaches as visiting professor at universities at home and abroad. He has published two books and several articles on Saudi Arabia, and has addressed academic conferences on Islamic and American foreign policy themes.

In addition to teaching and writing, Professor Habib is establishing Centers for American Studies abroad where American history, government and related subjects can be studied comprehensively and objectively.
